So promised the Puerto Rican champion Miguel Cotto when reacting to comments yesterday from rival coach, Manny Pacquiao during his training day open to the news media and who happens to coincide with his 29th birthday.
"It's going to be a well seasoned fighter, but I can assure you that in the end I will be victorious," Cotto said the crowd of reporters made a date to view it in action in the Tampa Fury Fighting gym.
"What Freddie Roach says I do not care. The best thing he can do is prepare the best possible Manny Pacquiao. I am."
In fact, the owner welterweight World Boxing Organization laughed when confronted with Roach's statements about his weaknesses as a boxer and that will be knocked out by the Filipino.
"Roach is not going to get in my head. He talks a lot and think the same thing will happen when Pacquiao fought Hatton, when the main protagonists were he and Floyd Mayweather, father," Cotto said, refusing to enter into bickering.
"We will not fall into that game. No stupid thing to say is going to affect me and nothing he says will change the outcome of the fight," he said.
During his slight practice yesterday saw a physical Cotto with a well-toned, willing and happy, but above all, full of confidence that the work will bear fruit on 14 November.
"The fights are won in the gym and we have worked at 100 percent. In addition, nutrition has helped a lot and so the mood I am in is very different from previous times. In fact, we are very close to the weight," he said.
"What I have said from the beginning, Pacquiao is a great fighter, but is 126 pounds. For more weights to give more weight and you acquire will never have the strength to Miguel Cotto and that is one of the questions that will have to face when they step into the ring. We are prepared for everything that he brings," he added.
In tactical terms of his training, Cotto refused to elaborate much, but he made clear he is ready to successfully face another southpaw boxer, as it has in the past.
"In my training I worked against lefties. Pacquiao is not the first that I face. I already have fights with (Carlos) 'El Indio' Quintana, Zab Judah and (DeMarcus) Corley. I am well prepared for him," said Cotto, who added that he believes Pacquiao a better fighter than he was three years ago, when there appeared at 130 pounds.
"The only thing different is Manny over here three years ago is that gained weight and had victories over (Ricky) Hatton and (Oscar) De La Hoya. That has merit, but in boxing terms, remains essentially the same kind of fighter. Against him a fight we will work smart for assault assault. And if given a hard blow, we will take to knock him out."
Cotto will head to Las Vegas in anticipation for his November 14 fight.

Judging by the demonstration of Manny Pacquiao during his first training session for the cameras in the city of Los Angeles is no coincidence that the Filipino boxer it is considered the best pound for pound boxer in the world and the favorite to prevail in the brawl against the Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto on November 14.
However, its speed at the cuffs contrasted with the caution that in mind when talking about the Puerto Rican champion, whom he described as one of the strongest opponents to it has faced.
"This is the toughest fight of my career and I will not waste this opportunity," said Pacquiao, who arrived on Sunday night to Los Angeles from his native Philippines and, despite the jetlag by the schedule change, did not respite from their intense training three hours."
"I took this fight with the seriousness it deserves, not get carried away comments. Many say that (Antonio) Margarito and (Joshua) Clottey will affect him, but I do not depend on that. Cotto is still a very strong fighter, bigger than me, to fight smart and not at all what I underestimated."
To this end, Pacquiao has been prepared physically as he always does, but this time with greater emphasis on the use of films and study hours.
"The intensity remains the same. Perhaps what has changed somewhat is the type of training strategy, because we have to follow the particular style of fighting Cotto. We need to apply certain techniques. I have spent many hours of study with Freddie, to identify their weaknesses and strengths and find their key points."
"But also during his training session on Monday, leaving gaping those present in the gym Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, California, with his speed and fitness and technique. "What I do is stand in the ring, boxing and do my best fight possible. I'm not looking for a knockout. But if it comes, welcome," said the Filipino.
"My job is to push and if it happens would be great," said Pacquiao.

Miguel Cotto Eager to Fight Manny Pacquiao - Joe Santiago stressed that the transfer of Miguel Cotto in Tampa, Florida, has been beneficial for the boxer.
Miguel Cotto and his team cares little that the general consensus is that Manny Pacquiao is favored to beat the night of November 14.
Instead, coach Eric Morel, Joe Santiago, Cotto said he would silence his critics.
"Michael uses the perception that Pacquiao is the favorite to work harder. Miguel has the hunger and desire to show that it is one of the best fighters in the world. This has been in the past and will do so again against Pacquiao," Santiago said yesterday during a conference call from Tampa, Florida.
He stressed that an impressive victory over Pacquiao would remove any doubt exists about the potential for Cotto on the biggest stages.
"In June this year against (Joshua) Clottey, Miguel showed that he has a big heart and I have no doubt he will again. Michael is at the time and anxious to get the fight night to show the world what he can do in the ring," noted Santiago.
During the fight against Clottey last June, it became clear that there was a lack of coordination at the corner of Cotto. However, Santiago said they have worked diligently to correct the deficiencies so that history is not repeated on 14 November.
"The corner was too narrow and there were many people in the corner, but we have more time working as a team and this time Joe Chavez has been with us, which allowed us to better match," said Santiago.
"We are all the time thinking about the welfare of Michael and work to get out the door wide against Pacquiao," he said.
The novice coach said he was pleased with the stage that is his ward, who will remain in Tampa for another two weeks.
"They have achieved all the goals we set for ourselves. It was a work plan and so far everything has gone to the letter. We know it will be a fight really hard for Miguel," he said.

Manny Pacquiao Baguio City Last Days of Training - The back-to-back typhoons halted Pacquiao's Baguio training, but is now back on track. He averages 3,000 sit-ups and 44 sparring rounds per day; he runs about eight miles every other morning, uphill. I don't know what it is, but there's something inside of him. Manny Pacquiao Helps Typhoon Victims - During his day-off from training, Manny Pacquiao traveled to Metro Manila and Rizal to show his support for the ongoing Typhoon relief operation. He helped pack the relief goods and handed it to the typhoon victims himself. He also donated 1 Million Pesos to GMA Foundation.
Oplan Ondoy is a Manny Pacquiao Foundation project to help raise awareness at the destruction caused by Typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana).
Manny Pacquiao at Philippine Military Academy - Pacquiao jogged at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) grounds. Pacquiao had breakfast with them, partook in their morning exercise, and had photos taken with them. The cadets joined in Pacquiao's 30 minutes run, but only a few manage to keep up with Pacquiao's stamina.
Bob Arum Visits Manny Pacquiao at Baguio City - Bob Arum, Top Rank Promotions head, visited Manny Pacquiao at Shape Up Gym during the media day.
“Manny has always been confident of his ability. But this is going to be the most difficult opponent that he’ll ever face. This is a man who’s unlike Ricky Hatton or Oscar dela Hoya,” said Arum.
“Cotto is bigger than he is, stronger than he is, younger than he is. Cotto is someone who has fought very fast welterweights like Shane Mosley and Zab Juddah and had beaten both of them.”
“This is a monster test that’s facing Manny Pacquiao. A monster test, and he has to be a hundred percent prepared. And if he isn’t, Cotto is gonna beat him. Cotto knows that he is on the biggest stage now. All eyes are looking at him. And he is very confident that he can handle Pacquiao.”
Omar Henry Possible Pacquiao Sparring Partner - Omar Henry boxing style is similar to Cotto. The 22 years old light middleweight boxer hails from Chicago Illinois, resides in Texas and is of Puerto Rican descent. His 5 fights all ended in KO.
“Henry has the same build, same everything, same haircut. The guy likes to be Miguel Cotto,” said Pacquiao's conditioning coach Alex Ariza.
Team Pacquiao awaits for Henry's manager to confirm the spar. If all's well, Omar Henry will spar with Pacquiao next week.
