With the Pacquiao vs De La Hoya and Pacquiao vs Hatton almost a certainty, Pacquiao eyes for his third and probably last fight: Floyd Mayweather Jr.:
After he pushes through with plans for a megabuck showdown with “The Golden Boy” Oscar De La Hoya on December 6 which he believes he can win, Pacquiao is eyeing Britain’s Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton sometime in May or June next year and then, after beating Hatton he hopes to entice Floyd Mayweather Jr out of retirement.
The plans of Pacquiao were bared by business manager Eric Pineda in a conversation with Inside Sports. Pineda and his wife Macy who will join Pacquiao along with lawyer Franklin “Jeng” Gacal, Governor Chavit Singson and Pacquiao’s charming wife Jinkee on the Las Vegas trip Thursday night said the De La Hoya fight was 70 percent done.

after beating dela hoya (which i thought would have been very hard to do and yet pacquiao made it look so easy), i guess hatton will be not so tough of a fight either. the real deal would be a pacquiao mayweather jr. bout (which seemed impossible back then when they were being compared). I don't know what happened to dela hoya, up to the very last minute i thought there was still something coming as a surprise but NOTHING happened. Oscar didn't look so confident and comfortable (he looks sick) and Manny just got a great technique (the leaping left straight). I thought the jab of oscar will make it and manny will have a hard time getting in, then again i was wrong. It's just shocking that up to the last round, Oscar's corner couldn't do anything about that leaping left straight of Manny which was so welcome in between Oscar's gloves. Still, questions arise and will still leave analysts wondering. Oscar was such a gentleman not to make any excuses for the loss, but I believe he had a VALID excuse, he just didn't want to look bad by sourgraping. The Pacquiao Mayweather fight will validate Manny's win over Oscar if Manny wins over Floyd as well. Otherwise, the dream match between oscar and manny will just look like an exhibition worth millions instead of a good fight night.

mayweather loves to run and clinch and hug using elbows until his opponent tires up,then that's when he is going to attack and give series of punches.but not with pacquiao,mayweather jr will be running the whole 12 rounds while pacquiao is chasing him and punching hundreds of jabs,hooks,upper cuts,body shots and straights.pacquiao never tires.and that's what makes him so exciting to watch,he is a boxing machine. mayweather jr will have no choice but to box with pacquiao or he will be like a moving punching bag. whatever Mayweather jr do,just an opinion,he'll lose to Pacquiao......

I dont think pacman can handle mayweather. He cannot seem to control the aging fighter in marquez. His win over dinamita is controversial. Many thought marquez wins. i think the sparring partners of manny were better than hatton!!! Most of them lasted 3 rounds while Hatton only two!!!!
pacquiao is the best...the only fighters i think would give him trouble at this point of his career is Mayweather and Cotto..i dont think JMM has a chance...think about it look how hard it was for JMM to fight manny in the second fight and thats when manny was a predictable fighter jab jab straight left...hes improved alot since then and JMM will not stand a chance..so i think his next fight is going to be the winner of the Mayweather and JMM match...

From watching manny's fights, he is first defensive then offensive. Hatton on the other hand is very offensive and hardly defensive. And on the other hand mayweather is mostly defensive. That's why mayweather went eight rounds and knocked Hatton out. Pacquiao destroyed hatton in two rounds knockin him out in the second. The point being is that I think in the Pacquiao-Mayweather bout, if it happens, I predict Pacquiao will go the distance with Mayweather and win due to his great stamina, agility, and speed. Mayweather said that that Hatton fight was one of his toughest fights ever cuz, "he just kept comin and comin."(as said by mayweather). That being said, think how he'll fight against pacman seeing that Pacquiao destroyed Hatton in two rounds. I say Pacquiao will win.
